Review of new laws of northeastern states, Amit Shah said- ‘Youth from Bodoland are leaving the gun and picking up the tricolor’

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who arrived on a two -day North East states, addressed the 57th annual conference of the Akhil Bodo Students Union (ABSU) in Kokrajhar, Assam on Sunday. In this program, Amit Shah said that Bodoland remained in a period of violence for years. But now the youth here leave the gun and pick up the tricolor. Amit Shah also called upon the youth of Bodoland to prepare for the 2036 Olympics. After addressing the Bodo Students Union, Amit Shah also reviewed 3 new criminal laws from the northeastern states in Guwahati. In which many preferred officers were present along with the Chief Ministers.

Assam CID’s new book released

In fact, on Sunday, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah chaired a review meeting on the implementation of three new criminal laws in the northeastern states in Guwahati. During the meeting, the Home Minister also released the book ‘New Criminal Laws: Standard Operating Procedus and Rules’ prepared by Assam’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

The meeting reviewed the implementation and current situation in the northeastern states of various new provisions related to police, jail, court, prosecution and forensic.

Officers including CM of all 7 states of North East were present in the meeting

The Chief Ministers of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim are participating in the meeting. Several senior officials of the Union Home Ministry and State Governments are also present in the meeting, including the Union Home Secretary, Chief Secretary of North Eastern States and Director General of Police.

Government gave Rs 1500 crore for the development of Bodoland

Earlier, at the Akhil Bodo Students Union (ABSU) conference, Amit Shah said that the central government has given Rs 1500 crore for the development of Bodoland with 35 lakh population. He also said that 82% of the provisions of the Bodo Agreement have been implemented, the rest will be completed in the next two years.

Congress had made a joke, now peace in Bodoland

Targeting the Congress, Amit Shah said that the Congress had made fun of us by saying that BTR (Bodo Territorial Region) will never bring peace. But now Bodo’s youth pick up the tricolor instead of guns, and this is possible due to the Bodo peace agreement, which was signed by the BJP government in January 2020.
