Rohit Sharma has been able to score only 19 runs in the current season of Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He is landing at number-6.

The fourth match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) will be played at the MCG ground in Melbourne from 26 December.

Rohit has been at number-6 in the last 2 matches, could score only 19 runs. Rohit Sharma could not play in the first Test match due to the birth of his second child. He was to return as an opener in the second Test, but KL Rahul played an important role in India’s victory by playing an impressive inning of 77 runs in Perth.

In such a situation, the captain had to change his batting order. However, he could score only 19 runs in three innings. On the other hand, Rahul strengthened his claim in the top order by scoring 84 runs in the first innings of the third Test match.

BGT tied at one each, Gaba test drawn The Indian team is currently in Melbourne. Team India has to play the fourth match of Border-Gavaskar Trophy with Australia from 26th December. The 5-match series is tied at 1-1. India had drawn the Gaba Test on 18 December. India won the first match in Perth by 295 runs, while the host team won by 10 wickets in the Pink Ball Test played in Adelaide.
