India’s regular captain in Test and ODI Rohit Sharma will join the team in Perth on November 24. According to the report, Rohit has informed BCCI about this.
In the absence of Rohit, fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah will be the captain of the team in the first test. Whereas KL Rahul can open.
Apart from Rohit, the rest of the Indian team left for Australia on 10-11 November. Rohit had already told BCCI and the selection committee that he may miss the Perth Test. The second Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy will start from December 4 in Adelaide, which is a day-night match.
