Unfortunately, some of our energy facilities have been damaged in this attack. Two people have been killed and six others, including two children, have been injured in a drone strike in Mykolaiv. Apart from this, there are reports of people being killed at many places in Western Ukraine.
Power cuts across Ukraine – Ukrainian Energy Minister
Ukraine’s Energy Minister German Galushchenko said in his Facebook post that our infrastructure has been damaged to some extent in the Russian attack. Due to this, emergency power cut has been implemented across the country. He said that we are continuously making efforts to restore energy and hope that soon we will be successful in it.
Regarding the attack, the Russian Defense Ministry claimed that it had targeted energy centers that support the Ukrainian army and provide power to weapons manufacturing factories.
Russia targeting Ukraine’s energy infrastructure
