Shows like Rocket Boys, Hu Is Your Gyneck have given you a new identity in the industry as an actress, what was Crime Beat adding to your filmography?
Rocket Boys was a historical biopic. Feel Like Ishq was the love story of Ishq LGBTQ. Crime Beat Grity is based on Investigation Journalism. In which there was a lot of drama and thriller and I had to do something like that.
Did you have to forget anything to be a part of this thriller drama?
To be honest, there was not so much homework. Sudhir Mishra is its director who always supports you. The atmosphere of his set is very friendly. This web series has Saqib with me, who is one of my good friends, Things became easier. By the way, many journalists of my mother and father have been friends, so I have tried to bring them into my character. The Press Club in Delhi used to meet at the Constitution Club. He was a socialist. The truth is bigger than anything. This kind of thought was his thinking. I have tried to bring all this in the role of Maya.
How much do you know in the personal life of the news of the world around you?
What is happening in the country. You should know this. Straightly correct but it affects it from somewhere, then I try to keep information.
Have you ever raised their voice against a crime in personal life?
Although there is no big crime around me, but like every Indian girl, I too have been a victim of lewd comments and molestation while walking on the streets. My parents have taught that to bear nothing quietly. If someone is doing wrong with you, then to raise his voice not to remain silent. Many times in the crowded places, many times an attempt has been made to touch me in a wrong way and I have answered my mouth every time. I will appeal to every girl that they answer because often such people feel that if women do not reply, then their courage increases.
Which news recently harassed you very much in the increasing crime related to women?
Women do not have authority over their own body. Other people have taken the contract. A judge is sitting somewhere. Marital is making new laws on rape. What can be more embarrassing than this. We are talking like this in 2025. There are some faults in our education or upbringing, which we are unable to explain that both are equal. Our education system should have a gender study. There should also be sex education. I feel that changes are possible at the grass route level itself.
Are you struggling with gender intelligence in personal life?
Not at home but many times at work place. Many female actresses have highlighted this thing. There is a difference of remuneration between mail actor and female actor. He is very wrong. He represents somewhere towards patriarchy society. How can men be given more remuneration for the same work.
You are an actor, singer, voice over artist, dancer. How do you balance with everything?
I have been doing theater and music together since childhood. My dance was also going on with him. Yes, sometimes something happens to my acting and at the same time music also comes, so according to your convenience, what happens at that time. I choose it. Wherever there is a way there is a way. Many times I shoot during the day and do music related work at night. I enjoy doing four things together.
When good scripts and characters are not found, are you upset?
It has been a boon for me to have four career in this case. When a good script does not come to me, I do not have to worry about thinking that oh I have no work. The theater is running. Voice over and playback work is also there. Making music, writing plays, it takes time for all these, so I have the thinking that has to do so much. The script does not come, this is not the only one. I also reject many times. I think we can withstand as much rejections in actors Day to Day Life. People say that actors are insicrats. One day, see our life. We actors have to live with thick skin.
