Sahara Scam: 310 acres of land of Sahara Group sold for 90 crores, Sanjay Pathak under investigation

In Bhopal, Jabalpur, and Katni, 310 acres of Sahara Group land was sold for only Rs 90 crore despite a price of 1,000 crores. EOW is investigating the role of more than 10 rock companies associated with land sales. Sale was deposited in private accounts by not giving the amount to SEBI.

These companies had registed the land to two companies with a relative of BJP MLA Sanjay Pathak. One- one registry has the names of more than 10 companies as a vendor. Now the Economic Offenses Cell (EOW) is investigating the role of these companies. An FIR may also occur soon in this case.

EOW investigating

The EOW is finding out which accounts received from the sale. Where did the amount go after this? Who had authorized companies to sell land. In which accounts the amount of brokerage fee of one crore rupees for land sales went. In which accounts this amount turned around.

The rate of land did not increase in collector guidelines

Out of the total 310 acres of Sahara group sold, 110 acres are in Maxi village in Bhopal. Sources said that the rate of land in this region has not increased in the collector guide line for many years. This is also a big question.

Thousand crores of land was sold for Rs 90 crore

Second, it was a residential land which was sold as agricultural land. In this way, the government suffered a loss of Rs 90 crore in the form of stamps and registration fees.

Land was purchased to make Sahara City

The Sahara India Real State Corporation Limited and Sahara Housing Corporation Investment Group had purchased land with the aim of making Sahara City by raising money from investors in various cities.

According to the instructions of the Supreme Court, the amount received from the sale of this land was to be deposited in the account of SEBI, so that the amount could be returned to the investors, but the amount was deposited in the accounts of Sahara India Real State Limited, Sahara Housing Investment Corporation and private rock companies.
