A delegation of Samajwadi Party (SP) reached Sambhal on Monday under the leadership of Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Mata Prasad Pandey and met the families of those killed in last month’s violence and gave checks of Rs 5 lakh each to the families. During this, Pandey accused the police of harassing Muslims. According to the police, violence broke out in Sambhal on November 24 after the second survey of Jama Masjid in which four people were killed.
Mata Prasad Pandey today distributed checks of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of those killed in the violence at the guest house of the Public Works Department and assured them of all possible assistance. On this occasion, Pandey told the journalists that some people were killed in the violence, whose families SP National President Akhilesh Yadav had announced to give Rs 5 lakh each and he has come to give checks of the same amount to the families of the deceased.
Mata Prasad Pandey alleged that this government is not sensitive towards Muslims and it knows only (underworld don) Dawood Ibrahim, but not the brave Abdul Hameed and Brigadier Usman who sacrificed their lives to protect the country’s border. Knows.

After the violence in Sambhal district on November 24, to maintain peace here, the administration had banned the entry of outsiders till December 10. The SP delegation was stopped from going there. Later, Mata Prasad Pandey had told outside his residence in Lucknow, “The Home Secretary had called me and requested me not to be careful. The District Magistrate of Sambhal also called me and told that the ban on entry of outsiders in the district has been extended till 10th December. So I will now go to the party office and discuss the issue.”
A situation of tension had arisen in Sambhal after the first survey of Jama Masjid was conducted on November 19 on the orders of the court. In the petition on which the court gave this order, it has been claimed that there was once a Harihar Temple at the place where Jama Masjid is located. On November 24 last, violence had erupted during the re-survey of the mosque. During this time, four people were killed and more than 25 were injured in the clash between the protesters and the police. Police have so far arrested more than 50 people in connection with the violence.
