19th November is celebrated as ‘World Toilet Day’ in the world. The main objective of this day is to free the world from disease by promoting cleanliness. If we talk about cleanliness in India, then the name of Indore city of Madhya Pradesh comes at the forefront. For this reason, a unique campaign was launched in Indore on the occasion of World Toilet Day. This campaign was named ‘Toilet Super Spot’. Under this, people have to take selfies with mobile phones in front of toilets. Amazing thing was seen that under this campaign, more than one lakh people have taken selfies with toilets in Indore city.
What was the objective of the campaign?
Indore officials have told about this campaign that the objective of the ‘Toilet Super Spot’ campaign started by the Municipal Corporation is to clean more than 700 public toilets and urinals of the city as well as indoor toilets in slums. Cleanliness was to be encouraged. Under this campaign in Indore, till 9 pm on Tuesday night, 1,02,272 people had taken selfies in front of toilets. Let us tell you that Indore city has topped the National Cleanliness Survey seven consecutive times.
Mayor of Indore thanked the people
Indore city mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava had also appealed to the people of the city to participate in this campaign. He had said that Indore is the only city in the country which is guaranteeing cleanliness in public toilets and appealing to the people to use them and click selfies outside them if they are satisfied with the facilities.
