Shocking revelations are emerging in the case of rape-gang rape of a Dalit athlete continuously for 5 years in Pathanamthitta district of Kerala. It has now come to light that the sexual exploitation of the victim, who was targeted since the age of 13, was initiated by her neighbor and childhood friend. After this he included more people also and the number of rapists kept increasing. Drivers, laborers, fishermen and even many of her neighbors were among those who raped the girl.

Childhood friend started sexual abuse

The News Minute One Report According to the report, the sexual exploitation of the Dalit girl at the age of 13 was started by her neighbor Subin. Subin is 6-7 years older than the victim and both of their houses are nearby. He also took photos and videos of the victim after sexually assaulting her. After this, he used these photos and videos to get his friend to rape the victim. After this his exploitation started. This friend of Subin got the victim raped by two more friends.

After this his photos and videos kept being given to different people. The number of people who sexually exploited her continued to increase. Drivers, fishermen and laborers were among those who raped her. Among those who raped her were five of her college and school students. Among the people who have been made accused in this case, 4 are minors. Apart from this, two more people who raped her were minors at the time of the incident. 1 accused is from Thiruvananthapuram, who is a resident of 100 kilometers away.

Apart from this, 2 accused are outside the country. Most of the accused are residents of his own locality. Most of the houses in this colony belong to Dalits. Married people have also been picked up from here. The people of the colony know both the victim and the accused. Many of the accused are more than 10 years older than him. She was also gang-raped on two occasions, in which several people were involved. The accused called her at different places including bus and hospital and sexually assaulted her.

Subin used to message on father’s phone

The accused used to send messages on the smartphone of the victim’s father. In this he used to tell where to meet the rapists. He also used to ask for the photo of the victim. The victim’s father did not know much about the phone. In such a situation, he felt that his daughter was using the phone for some other work. He was also under the influence of alcohol.

It has been told in the report that both the parents of the victim are labourers. When the victim was out of the house for several days, her family members thought that she had gone for sports. The victim is an athlete and has been active for many years.

29 FIRs have been lodged, 44 arrested

Police have registered 29 FIRs in this case. These include FIRs of rape and gangrape. Police have arrested 44 people so far. She took some time to tell the police the names of these 58 accused, their ages and how and where they raped her. The police had taken out the numbers of 40 people from the phone of the victim’s father. Efforts are still underway to arrest the remaining. Till then the victim has been kept in a protection home. Arrangements have been made for his studies here.

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to investigate this matter. This team is headed by Deputy SP PS Nandakumar, while the investigation is being supervised by DIG S Ajita Begum herself. DIG Ajita Begum said, “More officers will be included in this team after the Sabarimala Yatra is over.”
