On this day, a vehicle laden with explosives in Pulwama district hit the bus of CRPF personnel. 40 soldiers were killed in this terrorist attack. While many were seriously injured. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday remembered the martyrdom of brave soldiers on the sixth anniversary of the Pulwama attack. PM Modi said that the dedication of martyrs to the nation can never be forgotten. Prime Minister Modi expressed his feelings on social media site X. In this, he wrote, “Tributes we lost to the courageous heroes we lost in Pulwama in 2019 will never forget their sacrifice and their unwavering dedication to the nation.”

Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also wrote to the martyrs of Pulwama attack and wrote, “On this day in 2019, I pay homage to the soldiers who received Veeragati in the Cairo terror attack in Pulwama on the same day. . What happened that day
On February 14, 2019, there was a suicide attack on the convoy of CRPF personnel on the Jammu Srinagar National Highway. 40 soldiers were killed in this attack. A car filled with explosives hit the bus running in the CRPF convoy. When the attack on CRPF personnel took place, the convoy of the Central Reserve Security Force was going from Jammu towards Srinagar through the Srinagar-National Highway in Jammu and Kashmir. More than 60 military vehicles were present in the CRPF convoy.
The NIA investigated this attack and filed a total charge sheet of 13500 pages. In which a total of 19 accused were named. Among the accused, 22-year-old Shakir used to run a furniture shop near the Lathpora bridge on the Jammu-Srinagar highway. NIA arrested Shakir after investigation.

According to the charge sheet, Shakir had chosen a turn and slope of the highway for attack.

On 26 February, a sudden news came that at 3 pm, the Indian Air Force took an action and entered 100 km in Pakistan and attacked the terrorist camps of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Balakot. The 12 Mirage Fighter Plane of the Air Force completely destroyed the Jaish camps in Balakot.
