Shardul Thakur wreaked havoc with the ball
In response, the service team was reduced to only 153 runs. The batsman who scored the most runs for the service was Mohit Ahlawat. The service captain scored 53 runs in 40 balls. While Shardul Thakur, who remained unsold in the IPL auction, wreaked havoc, he took 4 wickets while giving 25 runs in 4 overs. Let us tell you, both Shardul Thakur and Prithvi Shaw were unsold in the IPL auction and hence eyes were on both, but Shivam Dubey remained in the limelight.
Let us tell you, Shivam Dubey will be seen playing for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2025. Chennai had bought this player for Rs 4 crore in 2022. But this time the franchise has retained this player for Rs 12 crores. In his debut season for Chennai, Shivam Dubey scored 289 runs at a strike rate of 156.21. Whereas in 2023 he scored 418 runs at a strike rate of 158.33 and in 2024 he scored 396 runs at a strike rate of 162.30.
Shivam Dubey also got the benefit of his excellent performance in IPL and got a place in the team for T20 World Cup 2024. Although Dubey could not make an impact in the T20 World Cup, the management supported him. After this he got another chance against Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka. He got a chance to bat only once against Zimbabwe, he scored 26 runs in 12 balls at a strike rate of 212. He got another chance in the Sri Lanka series, where he scored 13 runs in 14 balls, after which Dubey was out of T20 action.
