North Korea fired many ballistic missiles
Seoul: The South Korean army has claimed that North Korea had several ballistic missiles fired into the sea on Monday. The missiles have been fired a few hours after South Korea and the US joint military exercises began. North Korea sees this practice as the rehearsal of encroachment. South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff reported that missiles were fired from Hwanghe province in North Korea, but did not reveal how far the missiles went. South Korea and American military forces have started their annual ‘Freedom Shield’ command post exercise which will last for 11 days.
North Korea’s strict response
North Korea has strongly condemned these military exercises and described it as dangerous in a government statement. The North Korea’s Foreign Ministry on Monday issued a statement through its official media, calling the ‘Freedom Shield’ practice “aggressive and conflicting exercise”. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has indicated that he is ready to reinstate diplomatic talks with North Korea by contacting Kim Jong Un again. The previous negotiations failed due to disagreement on the issue of North Korea’s nuclear disarmament and the removal of US sanctions imposed on it.

Bomb dropped on his own people
Meanwhile, let me tell you here that, on Thursday, two South Korean Korean Korean fighter aircraft had accidentally dropped 8 MK-82 bombs in South Korea’s Pocon city (near North Korean border). The South Korean Air Force said on Monday that the mistake was made when a pilot lodged the wrong coordinates. This mistake could not be caught during the beginning and under the pressure of the mission deadline, the pilot did not re -confirm the target before dropping the bomb. The second pilot had the right coordinates, but focused on maintaining coordination with the pilot and dropped the bomb as directed, which made the mistake.
Air Force Chief of Staff apologizes
South Korea’s Air Force Chief of Staff General Lee Yangsu apologized on the incident, saying, “The incident should never happen and it should not be repeated in the future.” After this incident, the US and South Korea have temporarily stopped all their live-fire exercises. South Korean military officials are planning to restart them only after completing the investigation and implementing prevention measures. (AP)
