Mumbai Police has detained a suspect from Durg in Chhattisgarh in the case of attack on Saif Ali Khan. Police had received information that the suspect was traveling in a train, after which he was taken off the train with the help of local police. At present, the police is investigating, but till now no concrete evidence has been found in this case.
According to RPF sources, a suspect has been caught from the Dnyaneshwari Express train. On the information of Mumbai Police, a suspect named Akash Kailash Kannaujiya has been detained. Mumbai Police itself had sent the suspect’s photograph and train number information to the RPF. At present only Mumbai Police will identify this suspect. At present Akash is in the custody of RPF.
What did the suspect say?
According to sources, the suspect is giving the name Akash Kailash Kanojia. He is calling himself a resident of Mumbai. At present, a team of Mumbai Police will reach Durg at 9:00 for complete investigation and questioning.
According to the police, the picture of the person who attacked Saif Ali Khan resembles that of Akash Kailash Kannaujiya. Sources said that the suspect was traveling by general coach. Sources said that possibly he could be the accused in the attack on Saif Ali Khan.
According to officials, the suspect detained in Raipur will be physically confirmed by the police team, at present they are not satisfied with his photograph. The police team will investigate several persons who resemble the suspect captured in the CCTV of Saif’s house. This part was found by the police on the day of the attack itself. Police have found fingerprints from this part.

Juhu Police shared the mobile number, tower location and photograph of the suspect with the RPF. According to sources, the train was between Gondia and Rajnandgaon stations at that time.

At that time the suspect could not be traced in Rajnandgaon. After this, two teams were formed at Durg station and on arrival of the train, the suspect was detected sitting in front of General compartment number 199317/C by Inspector RPF Durg, SK Sinha, CT Shriram Meena and LCT Nirmala.
As soon as information was received about the suspect, the suspect’s photograph was sent to Mumbai Police who confirmed the suspect’s identity. The suspect was brought to RPF post Durg and contacted Mumbai Police officials through video call.
To nab the suspect, a team of Mumbai Police will reach Raipur by air by 8:00 am today. The suspect is currently kept under proper security at RPF Post Durg.
