Swachh Survekshan: Negative marking for the first time in Swachh Survekshan, marks will be deducted if work is found lacking.

Many major changes have been made in Swachh Survekshan 2024. This time negative marking has been implemented. This means that if a city is found to be deficient in cleanliness by more than 50%, a maximum of 30 points will be deducted from the marks of that city.

Preparations for the cleanliness survey have started once again.

Uday Pratap Singh, Naidunia, Indore (Swachh Survekshan). This time many major changes have been made in the Swachh Survekshan. This is the first time that negative marking has been implemented in Swachh Survekshan. Every city sends information about its cleanliness related work to the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs through monthly information system.

During the survey, if up to 50 percent deficiency is found in the work at the field level, then a maximum of 30 marks will be reduced for that city. It is noteworthy that due to tough competition in Swachh Survekshan last year, Indore and Surat jointly got number 1 position.

Negative marking will bring big changes

Surat was only 0.48 points less than Indore. In such a situation, the negative marking implemented this time in the survey will bring big changes. From February 15, teams will go to different cities for Swachh Survekshan. This time 12 cities including Indore have been included in the Super Swachh League.

New cities will be top rankers in their category

In such a situation, this time in Swachh Survekshan 2024, new cities will be top rankers in their respective categories. Indore city will have to compete in the league. However, it is not yet clear whether there will be any kind of competition between the different cities included in the league or not.

Will have to work hard for 12500 marks

Officials of the Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry also say that it is not yet decided whether there will be any kind of ranking of the cities included in the Super Swachh League or not. A decision in this regard will be taken in the coming days. This time the cities included in the survey will have to struggle to achieve 12500 points to come first.

Swachh Super League includes 12 cities

This year, under the Swachh Super League, the cities that topped in different categories in the previous year’s survey have been brought together. The 12 cities included in the Swachh Super League will also be assessed on 12500 points of Swachh Survekshan.

The city which scores less than 85 percent marks will be thrown out of the league. Similarly, the cities which get top ranking in this survey will join the league next time. Now only new toppers will be found every year in this Swachh Survekshan.

The city’s urinals were repaired

  • There will be competition between more than 4900 cities
  • Difficulty in getting 12500 marks

  • 1300 points garbage free city
  • 1200 points ODF, ODF Plus, ODF Plus Plus and Water Plus
