Giving a big benefit to the guest teachers, the Madhya Pradesh government has increased the age limit for the teacher selection examination. The age limit for primary and secondary teacher selection examination has been increased by nine years.
Now men of general category will be able to apply till the age of 49 years and women till the age of 54 years. 50 percent seats will also be reserved for guest teachers. This year, 10,758 secondary teachers will be recruited in government schools.
Staff Selection Board (ESB) has released the rules for the primary and secondary teacher selection examination to be held in the year 2025. Guidelines have also been uploaded on the website.

Secondary teachers (subjects, sports and music, singing and dancing) and primary teachers (sports, music, singing and dancing) under the School Education Department and Secondary teachers (subjects) and primary teachers (sports, music, singing) under the Tribal Affairs Department. Candidates can apply for the (singing and dancing) selection examination from 28 January to 11 February.
The selection examination will be conducted online. Modifications in the application form will take place from January 28 to February 16. The probable date of commencement of the examination is March 20.
The special age limit of three years given in Covid was abolished
The age relaxation of three years given in every examination during the Corona period has been abolished in this selection examination. However, it was implemented in the eligibility test.
Due to this, hundreds of candidates who have passed the eligibility test will not be able to appear in this selection test. The maximum age of the applicant should be 40 years as on January 1, 2024. EWS is not included in age relaxation.
There will be recruitment on 10,758 posts
There will be a selection examination for a total of 10,758 posts of secondary teachers. In this, there are 7082 posts of school education and 847 posts of Tribal Affairs Department i.e. 7929 posts of subject teachers.
Apart from this, for school education, there will be recruitment for 338 posts of secondary sports teacher, 392 posts of music, singing and musical instrument teacher, 1377 posts of primary sports teacher, 452 posts of music, singing and musical instrument and 270 posts for dance teacher.

Exam will be held in two shifts
The selection examination will be held in two shifts. The first shift will be from 9 to 11 in the morning and the second shift will be from 3 to 5 in the afternoon. The reporting time of the candidates for the first shift will be from 7 to 8 in the morning, while the reporting time for the second shift will be from 1 to 2 in the afternoon. The examination will be held in 13 cities of the state, Bhopal, Balaghat, Gwalior, Indore, Jabalpur, Khandwa, Neemuch, Ratlam, Rewa, Sagar, Satna, Sidhi and Ujjain.
