Here, Superintendent of Police (SP) Vaibhav Gaikwad, Nagarakurnool, said that I cannot say whether the trapped people will meet today or not. The damaged conveyor belt inside the tunnel is expected to recover today. After this it will help to get the debris out.

Scared laborers started quitting work According to reports, some laborers working in the tunnel after the accident have left the work due to fear. The senior government official said that 800 people are working in the Srisalam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) project. Of these, 300 are local and the rest are from Jharkhand, Odisha and Uttar Pradesh. The officer also said that there is definitely fear among laborers in the beginning. However, the company has set up residential camps for them. Some people may want to go back, but we have no report that all the workers are leaving together.

NDRF-SDRF and Army personnel in rescue NDRF 145 and 120 SDRF personnel are deployed for the rescue. An army engineer regiment, which is part of the Infantry Division in Secunderabad. He is also installed in the rescue. The accident took place at around 8:30 am on 22 February. About 3 meters of the roof of the tunnel inside 14 km from the entry point of the tunnel is demolished. During this time, about 60 people were working inside the tunnel.
