Two women journalists have been arrested for alleged derogatory remarks against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy in Telangana. Now CM Reddy has openly threatened. The head of the Congress government Reddy said that those who made abusive comments against him will be ‘naked and beaten up’. He has also spoken of bringing a bill in the assembly to punish journalists.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said, “Don’t think that I am silent, because I am the Chief Minister. I Will make you naked And will beat you. There are millions of people who will come out on the streets to beat you on my call. But, I am tolerant because of my position. ” However, while legalizing his threat, he said, “Whatever I do, I will do it within the purview of the law.”
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that digital media journalists posting derogatory social media, especially YouTube channels will be punished against elected representatives. He said, “I want to know who is a journalist?” Can anyone start a ‘tube’ (YouTube channel) and start criticizing someone? Can they be considered a journalist? “
Speaking in the assembly on Saturday (March 15), CM Reddy said that a bill will be brought for this. Revanth Reddy said, “We are in public life and are ready for criticism, but why are our family members being targeted?” Revanth Reddy has announced that he will not remain silent till the culture of spreading derogatory material on social media under the guise of journalism.
Attacking the BRS, he said, “Posted derogatory language about me and my family members. My blood is boiling on the language used in social media posts against women of my family. If for mothers, sisters and wives of BRS leaders Derogatory words Will they be silent if they are used? “
Former Chief Minister K.K. Accusing Chandrashekhar Rao’s party BRS, CM Reddy said, “He (BRS) brought money to his party office, recorded it and posted it on social media. Now, they are upset because a police case has been registered against two women. ” The arrest of these women has been opposed by the BRS.
In fact, a case was registered against CM Reddy against Pogdadanda Revathi and her colleague Sandhya alias Tanvi Yadav on 10 March for alleged objectionable posting against CM Reddy. After this, on March 12, the police arrested two women running a YouTube channel named ‘Pulse News’. Police say the two women shot the video in the BRS office.
In the video that CM Reddy is threatening journalists, a farmer made comments against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Now since this interview was recorded by ‘Pulse News’, it is believed that ‘Pulse News’ has done all this with the aim of tarnishing the image of the Chief Minister. After this, the state secretary of the social media cell of the Congress lodged a complaint regarding this.
