In Khandwa, a 19-year-old youth was duped of Rs 1.70 lakh by the robber bride gang in the name of marriage. Four days after the marriage, the bride ran away with the jewellery. The young man got married at a notary by marriage brokers. Now there is no trace of the bride and the brokers.

After taking one lakh 70 thousand rupees from the young man, he got him married to a girl. Four days after the marriage, the bride ran away with the jewelery on the pretext of meeting her brother. The young man searched for her, but could not find her.

The brokers who had arranged the marriage of the young man are now untraceable. 19 year old Rahul son of Mansingh, resident of Khalwa, has given a complaint application in this regard to SP Manoj Kumar Rai on Tuesday.

Met the broker while working in the factory

The victim youth told that he used to work in a tower factory in Shipra near Indore. About a month ago, I met a young man named Amit there. Both became friends and while talking he asked her about marriage.

On this he also talked about searching for a girl for marriage and said yes to the marriage. On this he told that the girl does not have parents. He said that the marriage would cost Rs 1 lakh 70 thousand. The young man agreed to this.

The marriage took place at the Notary on 17th December.

The young man told that there were three men and three women with the girl. Initially I was told that the girl had no parents. When he asked about marriage in the court, I had also asked him whether his parents would be present there.

On this he said that he will present any of these women as a mother. After this he took me to an office where a lawyer got us married at the notary.

Cheating gang in the name of marriage

Innocent youth are being cheated in the name of marriage. Predatory bride gangs are targeting young men who are looking for girls for marriage. Many such cases have come to light in the recent past. This time a similar fraud has happened with a youth from Khalwa.

After four days she ran away on the pretext of meeting her brother.

The victim told that after getting married in Indore, I had brought the girl home. She stayed well with me for four days. On the fourth day she said that she had to go to meet her brother, saying this she also took the mangalsutra, anklets and some jewelery with her.

Since then no contact has been made with him. The people who had got the marriage done are also not traceable. Then I realized that we had been cheated in the name of marriage. The police have assured the youth of appropriate action.
