Traffic rules: Thousands of people die every year in road accidents in India and most of these are those who violate traffic rules. It can be said that a major reason behind road accidents is non-compliance of traffic rules. Despite being punished and fined, some people do not desist from doing whatever they want…. In such a situation, they often create problems for themselves as well as others. These days, a law of Vietnam is being discussed a lot in the country. This country has made such a law, after knowing about which the people of India are saying that if such a law is implemented in India, they will leave their jobs.
We should definitely introduce this for major traffic offenses like going the wrong way on a divided highway/street, and jumping red lights. https://t.co/tTkpwoIXck

In fact, Vietnam has adopted a unique strategy to control its notorious traffic violations. Now any person can earn up to 10% reward (approximately ₹ 17,000) by reporting those who break traffic rules. The objective of this scheme is to increase road safety and strictly enforce traffic laws.
Strict traffic rules and increased fines (Vietnam traffic rules)
From the beginning of 2024, there has been a provision for heavy fines for violating traffic rules in Vietnam. Fines for violations like breaking red lights or using mobile phones while driving are being imposed six times more than before.
- There is now a fine of ₹20,000 (6 million dong) for motorcyclists for breaking red lights.
- The same violation for car drivers can reach up to ₹70,000 (20 million dong).
Vietnam has introduced a system where you can earn a 10% reward for reporting traffic violations. If the person you report gets fined, you get a cut of the fine.

Special reward for reporting (vietnam traffic reward)
Under the new rules, if a person provides verifiable information about a traffic violation, he will get a reward of up to 10% of the fine amount. However, this amount is limited to a maximum of 5 million dong (approximately ₹17,000). The identity of the person reporting will be kept confidential.
Reactions of Indian netizens (public participation road safety)
This law of Vietnam has sparked debate in India also. Many people on social media praised this policy, while some gave a humorous reaction when it was implemented in India. One user wrote, “If this is implemented in India, then people will leave their jobs and earn money only by reporting.” Another user said, “In our country, the traffic police will have to improve itself first.” Another user suggested, “Traffic laws should be strict in India, but there will be a fear of such a reward being misused.”
🚨 Vietnam just implemented snitch to earn for traffic violations. If you report someone for breaking traffic laws, you can earn a 10% bounty if they get fined.

However, experts believe that implementing it in a large and diverse country like India will be a challenging task.
