Search operation continues in Mana, 4 workers still missing

On the second day of the search operation in Mana, 23 laborers have been brought to Joshimath, out of which 20 were injured and 03 have died. In this way, 04 have died out of 50 rescue workers so far. At the same time, the seriously injured have been sent to 01 laborers to AIIMS Rishikesh for treatment. The rest of the injured are undergoing treatment at Military Hospital. District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari said that in this rescue campaign, the injured have been brought to Joshimath with the help of 07 and 01 private hally of the army. Among the missing workers, Harmesh Chand is from Himachal Pradesh, Ashok Uttar Pradesh, Anil Kumar and Arvind from Uttarakhand. The District Magistrate said that late night doctors have confirmed the death of four laborers, including Jitendra Singh and Mohindra Pal of Himachal, Manjit Yadav of Uttar Pradesh and Alok Yadav of Uttarakhand.

Brigade GSO 1 Lieutenant Colonel Devendra at Joshimath Army Hospital said, ’54 people were reported to be buried in the avalanche in Mana. Rescue work has been going on for the last 52 hours. So far 51 people have been evacuated. 4 people have died, 46 are safe, out of which we have referred 1 to AIIMS Rishikesh yesterday. The rest is being treated at Army Hospital. The condition of 3 people is critical but their health has improved a lot.
