Regarding his son’s journey till IPL, the father says that he treats cricket as God, not a game. This was the reason that even if he got injured or fell ill during the game, he was still seen in the playground.

He says that he used to spend the same amount of time playing sports even when he was injured or ill. Even when the coach used to say that you need to rest, why did you come, then he used to say that I will be bored at home, so I come here. He always said that I have to be number one.

According to information received from parents, he has been fond of cricket since childhood. Keeping this in view, we sent Shashikant Pathak to Argora Coaching. In the year 2012-13 he started playing for Ranchi District. This year he participated in the tournament held in Kharagpur. This was his first tournament as a player.
