Three coaches of the goods train going from Katni station towards Mudwara derailed

Nayeduniya Representative, Katni. A cement -laden freight train passed through the Katni station on Monday afternoon. As soon as the freight train turned from Katni station to Mudwara via Curve Line, three bogies derailed one after another with a sudden loud sound and part of the track, the goods train broke into two parts, breaking the sleeper below. The driver stopped the car by braking.

Due to the accident near the station, the staff of the railway immediately reached the spot and in a short time the accident relief staff along with officers and employees from other stations including NKJ reached the spot. The exercise to bring back the coaches back on the track from evening till late in the night continued.

Meanwhile, officers from Jabalpur including area manager also reached the spot. Due to the accident, the movement of trains from the platform number of Katni station to three stopped and the work of removing trains from the two platforms and the middle line was done.

The goods train was carrying cement

• Railway officials said that there was cement load in the goods train. It was loaded from Prism Johnson Limited Mainpuri and was to go towards Bina.
• Around three o’clock in the afternoon, the Goods train was being extracted from the line between platform number two and three of Katni station, which was to go towards Bina via Mudwara station.
• As soon as the station passed, the middle bogie number-13,14,15 derailed as soon as the goods train reached the corner. The fourth box was also hit with him.
• After derailing the train, some part of the carve line track and the cement sleepers beyond the entire point, along with the cement sleepers, proceeded.
• The driver stopped the train by applying emergency brake. Station manager and officer who reached the spot, completely stopped in the middle of the goods train station and the curve line and the railway officials, employees ran on the spot.

• Station manager Sanjay Dubey and members of other technical staff of the station reached the spot and informed senior officials about the accident.
• In a short time, the area manager Rohit Singh along with other officers and employees reached the spot and took information to the senior office.
• At the same time, arrangements started to be made to bring the goods train back on track. The bogies were cut and separated in two parts, the work of separating the bogies connected to the front part of the freight train was done.
• Railway employees were separated by cutting the derailed bogies and the front part was sent to Mudwara station and parked on the shore.

• At the same time, the remaining freight train coaches were taken towards Satna & Satna and from the back side from the back side.
• After that the staff started the exercise to bring back the four bogies who derailed through machines and other means.
• Till late evening, Amla was engaged in work and not a single bogie could come on track. The train traffic stopped from platform number one to three after the affected passenger vehicle accident.
• Trains of other routes were dispatched from platform number four and five and due to this there was a delay in removing some trains.
• On the other hand, the passenger train from Katni station towards Bina was affected due to the closure of the track.

• Traffic was started from three number platforms till late evening. There is no facility to increase trains from a number platform towards Satna.
• Most of the trains coming from Jabalpur towards Satna fall in two number platforms and due to this they were removed from other platforms.
• The cause of the accident is not clear, the reason for the sudden crash of the goods train has not been clear.
