Today in history 27th January: Bird flu outbreak has been seen in the country for more than a decade and a half. In the year 2008, bird flu disease was caused by damage for the chicken parents of West Bengal. A large number of eggs, chicks, chickens and other poultry were destroyed due to outbreak of bird flu in 13 districts of the state. The disease started on January 16, 2008 from Birbhum district and then about half the state was hit by this disease. On January 27, information about the spread of this disease was officially spread in 13 districts. Large -scale poultry activities in the state and moisture present in the environment were stated to be the reason for the rapid spread of the disease. In order to prevent the spread of this disease that reached humans from birds, the government stopped taking poultry products out of the state.

- 1996: France conducted its sixth and most powerful nuclear test. The strength of this bomb can be gauged from the fact that after two years, the International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed that this explosion will remain an influence at the testing site in South Pacific for centuries.
- 2006: As part of a worldwide campaign announced at the World Economic Forum meeting in Davos, Switzerland against tuberculosis, Britain announced $ 7.9 million to control the disease in India.
- 2007: 14 persons killed in a fidayeen bomb attack before a religious procession in Peshawar, Pakistan, mostly police officers.

- 2013: 20 police officers killed in bomb attacks in Kandahar, Afghanistan.
- 2021: 53 passengers killed in a road accident in Cameron.
