New Delhi: There is big news related to people traveling to Jammu and Kashmir. Vande Bharat train may soon run from Delhi to Srinagar. Soon the train route will connect from Delhi to Kanyakumari and Srinagar. Railways aims to complete this project before December 31, so that the Vande Bharat train can be run from Delhi to Kashmir on the occasion of Republic Day.

What is the preparation?

The most difficult part of the Udhampur Srinagar Baramulla rail link is Banihal, on which 111 kilometers of rail route has been prepared. According to the Railways, if the work continues in this manner, then on the occasion of Republic Day, Prime Minister Modi can inaugurate the Vande Bharat train from Delhi to Srinagar.

Let us inform you that in order to increase the economic growth of Jammu and Kashmir, CM Omar Abdullah had recently met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and focused on increasing local revenue generation to reduce dependence on the Centre. Progress was discussed. This meeting was also important because the ruling National Conference-led government is going to present its first budget after six years of central rule.

During this, the CM had underlined the importance of attracting such investment which will generate employment. This is an attempt to create employment in sectors like tourism, agriculture and horticulture. He also stressed the need for investment in infrastructure and connectivity to improve Jammu and Kashmir as an investment destination.

CM Abdullah had recently met President Draupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan and a day before this he had also met Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar. The Chief Minister had held separate meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari and Power Minister Manohar Lal in the second last week of October.
