In Indore, a photographer, fed up with the harassment from his wife, mother-in-law and sister-in-law, committed suicide. He told in his suicide note that his wife had filed a dowry harassment case against him and the policemen were also harassing him.

Naiduniya Representative, Indore. Nitin Padiyar (event photographer) suicide case is similar to that of Atul Subhash (engineer) from Bengaluru. Nitin was fed up with his wife Harsha, sister-in-law Meenakshi, Varsha and mother-in-law Sita. A case of dowry harassment was registered against her.
Policemen of Rajasthan Police also called Nitin to the police station and started harassing him. Nitin Babulal Padiyar, 27, resident of New Govind Colony (Banganga), used to run a cafe with photography. He wrote a 14-page suicide note on Monday night and committed suicide by hanging himself in his house.
It was a love marriage, she started harassing me only after 6 months of marriage.
According to Nitin’s brother Suraj, he had a love marriage with Harsha. Harsha started harassing her only after six months of marriage. Separated from the family. She got angry and went to her parents’ home (Rajasthan). Harsha filed a dowry harassment case against Nitin (husband), Suraj (brother-in-law), Radha (mother-in-law) and started demanding Rs 20 lakh for settlement.
The policemen used to demand 50 thousand rupees from Nitin in exchange for releasing Radha and Suraj. According to TI Siyaram Singh Gurjar, he is taking the statements of his relatives. Will also get information about the case registered in Rajasthan. Further action will be taken after investigation.
The only reason for my death was my wife, mother-in-law and two sisters-in-law.
I am Nitin Padiyar committing suicide. Harsha has implicated me and my family in a false case. Had a love marriage with her in August 2019. Since the family did not agree, both of them eloped and got married. After two months, my family accepted me but my mother-in-law (Sita) was not happy with it. The reason for my death is Sita, Harsha, Varsha and Meenakshi.
Harsha used to quarrel with my family. Because of that I had to be separated from the family. She used to wake up at 11.30 in the morning. Many times I had to go to office hungry. When Harsha became pregnant, her mother said that Nitin had no relation with the child. She did not even come to the baby shower ceremony.
Took the loan on Harsha’s advice. Did business, but suffered loss. On March 4, 2023, she went to Jodhpur (Rajasthan) with Meenakshi. When asked to come back when she remembered Honey (son), she said that she would return only after staying away from the family. He blocked the number.
I was forced to accept the condition of living separately. Harsha’s mother asked me for Rs 20 lakh. She filed a case of dowry harassment. The policemen frightened me, brother and mother a lot. Had to go to court dates every month. Rajasthan Police SHO asked for Rs 50,000 to remove brother’s name from the case. Also assaulted. (As Nitin wrote in his suicide note)
