Lawyers for America’s newly elected President Donald Trump have asked to dismiss a case against him. According to reports, Donald Trump’s lawyers told a judge that the Republican’s conviction for illegally giving money to a porn star should be dismissed because he won the US presidential election and the punishment would threaten the stability of the government. There will be danger.
- In a letter filed on Tuesday and made public on Wednesday, lawyers for the Republican president-elect asked New York State Supreme Court Justice Juan Marchant for permission to file a formal motion to present their arguments by December 2. Trump, 78, was scheduled to be sentenced on November 26, but Marchen halted all proceedings in the case last week at the request of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office.
