At the Super Specialty Hospital, a 22 -year -old girl suffering from fibromyatosis disease was taken out by doctors near the lungs and hearts near the heart.

Superintendent Dr. Sumit Shukla claimed that this is the first such surgery in any government medical college in the state. Experts reported that complex surgery of rare chest tumors has been performed. This surgery was done by the girl resident of Azad Nagar.

The tumor was close to the lungs and the heart

The woman was suffering from a very rare disease called fibromyatosis. She was getting upset for eight months. There is a lot of problem in doing such tumor surgery, as the disease was very close to the lungs and heart, so it was challenging to save these organs safely. Also, the removal part was to be rebuilt so that those organs should be safe in future also.

Artificial implant from Ahmedabad reconstructed chest

Dr. Bhavesh Bang said that this tumor was complicated by removing it in front of the chest. In the event of not reconstructing the chest properly, there was a possibility of sinking inside the breast chest.

The patient’s ribs were held by the disease, after which there was a possibility of coming out of the lungs. The chest structure goes on continuously due to breathing, not stabilizing. Therefore it was also necessary to ensure that the patient does not have problems in breathing after surgery.

Free surgery under Ayushman scheme

The artificial implants used in the reconstruction of the chest were not available in the city, which was especially called from Ahmedabad. The girl underwent surgery on 25 January. The cost of such surgery comes to five to six lakh rupees, but it was free under the Ayushman scheme.
