Baghpat:
An incident of gang rape of a woman has come to light on the pretext of exorcism in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh. The woman has alleged that a Maulvi and his companion made her unconscious and gang-raped her on the pretext of exorcism. On the complaint of the victim woman, the police have registered a case against four accused including two Tantric clerics and have arrested three and sent them to jail. One accused is still absconding.
The victim woman has complained to the police that her husband is lodged in Tihar Jail, Delhi. His mouth said that uncle was also in jail. When he was released and came out, the woman asked him how to get out of jail. On this his uncle told that he had done exorcism and Tantra Kriya. Because of this he came out of jail.
Believing what he said, the woman also came to get the exorcism done by the Tantrik. During the exorcism, Tantrik Maulana Naseem along with his associate Ghaffar raped her. According to the woman, uncle Mahtab and another supported the clerics. At present, Baghpat police has arrested three people and sent them to jail.
The victim woman is a resident of Dola village of Singhawali Ahir police station area. Her husband is lodged in Tihar Jail, Delhi. She told that she was raped on January 6 in Niwada village of Baghpat. The woman alleges that on the pretext of performing exorcism there, Maulvi Naseem, resident of Shikarpur district, Muzaffarnagar, along with one of his associates, gang-raped her. When he protested, he was beaten. When he told uncle Mahtab about this, he also supported the accused. On receiving the complaint, the police registered a case and arrested the accused Maulvi Naseem, the victim’s uncle Mehtab and Ghaffar and presented them in the court.
Additional Superintendent of Police told that the victim’s uncle was in jail and when he came out of jail on bail, the woman asked him how to come out so that she too could get bail for her husband. Uncle Mahtab told him that he knew a Tantrik from whom he had got the exorcism done. On this the woman also talked about getting the exorcism done.
Mahtab took him with him to a house in Niwada village. Two Maulvi Naseem and Ghaffar, resident of Muzaffarnagar district, who practiced Tantra Kriya, were already present there. They locked the woman in a room and raped her and told her not to tell anyone about this, as her husband would get bail.
The woman reached her home from there and then reached the police station along with her family. He filed a case in the police station. At present, the police have arrested the woman’s uncle and both the clerics. One accused is still absconding. The woman told the police that the accused might have done such a thing before also. If he goes to jail then no other woman will fall into his trap from now on.
