Ujjain Mahakal Darshan Ticket: Mahakal temple will remain closed for two days from today, speedy darshan ticket facility of Rs 250, Bhasma Aarti booking also not available.

On 31st December and 1st January, a large number of devotees come to seek blessings of Baba Mahakal. This time more than 10 lakh devotees are expected to come. Keeping this in view, the temple management has made concrete arrangements. Parking arrangements have been made at different places in the city for devotees coming from outside.

Naidunia Representative, Ujjain: The early darshan ticket facility of Rs 250 will remain closed in Jyotirlinga Mahakal temple on 31st December and 1st January. Devotees will be able to have free darshan of Lord Mahakal by standing in the queue for darshan in front of Chardham temple.

In these crowded days, the online booking system for Bhasma Aarti Darshan has also been postponed. Devotees can have the moving darshan of Bhasma Aarti without permission. Assistant Administrator Moolchand Junwal said that uninterrupted darshan system has been implemented for the devotees on New Year.

Darshan will be done in 40 to 45 minutes

With the same arrangement, devotees can have darshan of Lord Mahakal in 40 to 45 minutes without any hassle. There will be protocol and arrangements for entry of old and disabled devotees through separate gates.

The temple committee has taken this step to control the crowd. On Monday, coinciding with Somvati Amavasya, there was a crowd of devotees coming to see Mahakal. About one and a half lakh devotees had darshan of Lord Mahakal on the Mahaparva.

These devotees will get entry from here

  • General visitors: After standing in the queue for darshan in front of Chardham temple, they will reach Ganesh Mandap from Shri Mahakal Mahalok, Mansarovar Facility Centre, Mahakal Tunnel-1 via Shaktipath and will have darshan of Lord Mahakal.
  • VIP: VIP visitors coming as per protocol will enter the temple from Neelkanth gate via Begambagh via Harifatak over bridge. There will also be a provision for VIP parking here.
  • Old people, disabled: The entry of old and disabled visitors coming to see Lord Mahakal on New Year will be from Avantika in front of the temple office. Free wheel chair facility will be available here.

After darshan there will be exit from here

After having darshan of Lord Mahakal, devotees will come out of the temple through Gate No. 10 or Nirmalya Gate. After this, we will again reach Chardham Temple via Harsiddhi Square via the prescribed route in front of Bada Ganesh Temple.

Prasad will be available in packs of 100, 200 and 500 grams.

Devotees coming from India and abroad to visit Lord Mahakal on New Year will be able to conveniently buy the Laddus Prasad of Lord Mahakal. About 10 Prasad counters will be set up by the temple committee near the Chardham temple and at the parking places, where Laddus Prasad will be available in packs of 100, 200 and 500 grams.

Queue from here for moving ash aarti darshan

On 31st December and 1st January, the devotees who want to see the moving Bhasma Aarti will stand in the queue for darshan from the facility center located at Mahakal Mahalok. From here, people will come out of Kartikeya Mandapam via Mahakal Tunnel after having darshan of Lord Mahakal. According to the temple administration, devotees will be allowed to enter the temple from 4.10 am.
