The Uniform Civil Code (UCC) has now been implemented in Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand has become the first state in the country with UCC i.e. Uniform Civil Code. Let us tell you that Uttarakhand UCC has laws for marriage, divorce, succession, live-in. It is different from the rest of the states of the country. After the implementation of the UCC, the law of the Muslim Personal Law Board will not be effective in Uttarakhand. The special thing is that the state government made people aware of it by implementing it. A portal of UCC has also been launched today.
Let us tell you that before implementing the rules of UCC, there was a long exercise about it. People were discussed and consultation was also taken from all people in the whole of Uttarakhand. An expert committee was formed for this. Recently, the cabinet had agreed to the UCC rules.
