UP by-election: In Kundarki, which has the highest number of Muslim votes, BJP played like ‘Rampur model’, winning for the first time in 31 years!

New Delhi :

Voting has taken place for by-elections in nine assembly seats of Uttar Pradesh. However, after the election voting, there is a lot of discussion about Kundarki seat which has the highest number of Muslim votes. There are 65 percent Muslim voters here. From this perspective, Samajwadi Party’s victory here was considered certain. However, it is being said that a game has been played in Kundarki and now claims of BJP’s victory are being made here. These speculations have been strengthened by the statement of senior Samajwadi Party leader and MP Ram Gopal Yadav, in which he has demanded cancellation of elections and re-polling on Sisamau assembly seats of Kundarki, Mirapur and Kanpur.

At the time of voting on November 20, Samajwadi Party candidate Haji Rizwan had written a letter to the Election Commission demanding cancellation of the election and re-polling at all the booths. They feel that there has been a disturbance during the election voting. When such allegations are made, the narrative is created that the one who is losing makes such allegations.

BJP last won in 1993

BJP had last won this seat in 1993. At that time BJP leader Chandravijay Singh had won. Since then BJP has never been able to win this seat. However, this time claims of BJP’s victory are being made in Kundarki.

BJP state president Bhupendra Chaudhary said that BJP’s victory is certain here. At the same time, SP leaders also believe that their party may lose in Kundarki by a margin of 20 to 25 thousand votes.

Rampur model started in Kundarki!

There were 11 Muslim candidates out of 12 on Kundarki assembly seat. Despite this, it was being said that this is a seat of Samajwadi Party, where it is very difficult for BJP to win. In such a situation, the question is what happened here and why SP’s claims of victory have turned into complaints.

Regarding Kundarki, BJP says that the Rampur model has been followed here, just as BJP won in Rampur in the assembly by-election in the year 2022. Despite 55 percent Muslim voters in Rampur, BJP candidate Akash Saxena had won there. This seat was considered the stronghold of senior SP leader Azam Khan. Despite this, BJP’s victory there is called Rampur model. On the basis of the same model, claims of BJP’s victory in Kundarki are being made.

IAS Anjaneya Singh was mentioned

Kundarki seat falls in Moradabad district and is an assembly seat of Sambhal Lok Sabha. Akhilesh Yadav mentioned an IAS officer in one of his press conferences on Wednesday and that is Moradabad Commissioner Anjaneya Singh. It was said that there was low turnout in Rampur and allegations were made that the administration did not allow Samajwadi Party supporters to reach the booth. Because of this BJP got victory. This is the same Anjaneya Singh, about whom Azam Khan had given a controversial statement. In this case, a case was filed against Azam Khan and he was also punished. SP alleges that the Rampur model was of Anjaneya Singh and his model has been adopted in Kundarki.

Highest voting in Kundarki in UP

During the by-elections on nine assembly seats of UP, maximum voting took place in Kundarki. Here 57.7 percent voters exercised their franchise. BJP claims that Muslims have also voted for their candidate Thakur Ramveer this time.

Did not get support even from SP leaders

Ziaur Rahman Burke was the SP candidate in the 2022 assembly elections and he got 1,25,465 votes. Whereas BJP candidate Kamal Kumar got 82,467 votes. At that time, BSP candidate Haji Rizwan had got 42,645 votes while AIMIM’s Mohammad Waris had got 14,248 votes. This time Haji Rizwan is the SP candidate. However, it is being said that Haji Rizwan, who came to SP from BSP, has not got the support of SP leaders. Whereas in Kundarki, this time 11 out of 12 candidates are Muslims and most of them come from the Turkish community. The only Hindu candidate is Thakur Ramveer of BJP.

SP suffers loss due to division of Muslim votes!

It is also being said that voting has taken place in the areas with Hindu voters, while voting has not taken place in the areas with Muslim candidates. Here, a direct contest was expected between BJP and SP, but Muslim votes got divided and due to this, BJP’s victory is considered certain.

One reason behind this is said to be that Haji Rizwan is not very famous among Muslims. It is being said that because he was a Turk, other Muslim communities did not come with him.
