For how many seats will the entrance exam be held?
Every year, JEECUP entrance examination is conducted for admission to diploma courses in polytechnic institutes of Uttar Pradesh. This examination is for admission in about 1400 polytechnic institutes of the state, which are operated under government, aided, private and PPP models. A total of 2 lakh 28 thousand seats are available in these institutes, where eligible students are admitted on the basis of their performance.
What will be the application fee for UP Polytechnic?
Different rates have been fixed for different categories of application fees for JEECUP 2025. General Category and Other Backward Class (OBC) candidates will have to deposit an application fee of Rs 300 per group. At the same time, the application fee for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates has been kept at Rs 200 per group. The application fee can be paid through online mode, which includes options like debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI. It is important to note that once the application fee is submitted, it will not be refunded. Candidates are advised to check all the details carefully before paying the application fee and completing the application process. After payment of fees, be sure to take a printout of the receipt, as it may be necessary in the further process.
What is the pattern of UP Polytechnic exam?
There will be a total of 100 multiple choice questions in the Polytechnic Entrance Exam. The special thing is that there will be no negative marking in the exam, due to which candidates will not be deducted marks for giving wrong answers. Four marks will be given for each correct answer. Under the admission process, main counseling will be conducted in three phases, while special counseling will be started from the fourth phase. It is noteworthy that till 2023, all the candidates appearing in the examination were given admission. But changes were made in the admission process in session 2024-25. Under the new rules, candidates scoring zero marks were not given the opportunity for admission. This change has been made with the aim of ensuring the quality of education.
