CAPF Recruitment 2025: The application process has started for the appointment of a total of 357 posts of Assistant Commandant in the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) on behalf of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Male and female candidates can apply for these posts.

A total of 357 posts of Assistant Commandant will be restored, out of which 24 posts will be filled in BSF, 204 in CRPF, 92 in CISF, 4 in ITBP and 33 in SSB. Get details of square wise prescribed qualification from notification.

Candidates receiving graduation degrees in any stream from a recognized institute can apply for the post of Assistant Commandant. See the notification to know in detail about educational qualifications.
Age limit: The minimum age limit for application is 20 years and maximum age limit is 25 years, that is, the candidate has been born between August 2, 2000 to 1 August, 2005. Candidates of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes will be given five years in the maximum age limit, other backward class candidates will be given three years exemption. Age will be calculated on the basis of August 1, 2025.

Selection process
Candidates for Assistant Commandant posts will be selected through written examination. The written examination to be conducted by the Union Public Service Commission will be held on August 3, 2025. Two papers will be included in this exam. Paper-I will be held from 10 am to 12 noon and Paper-II will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm. In Paper-I, objective type questions of 250 marks of general qualification and intelligence will be asked. Paper-II will be of general study, essay and comprehension. This paper will be of 200 marks. Candidates who have passed the written examination will have to appear in the physical examination and interview.

Last date: March 25, 2025 (till 6 pm).
Application fee: Candidates applying for these posts will have to pay 200 rupees as an application fee. Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Women Candidates have been given exemption from payment of application fee.
