Usman Khawaja: Usman Khwaja changed the history of Australian cricket, the first batsman to do this feat

He has done this feat at the age of 38 years 43 days. Don Bradman was 38 years 108 days while scoring 234 against England in 1946–47 Ashes, while in 1947–48 he was 39 years 149 days during the 201 innings against India.

Apart from this, Khwaja also became the oldest Australian to score a double century outside the house. In this case, he overtook Adam Wozes (239, 36 years 131 days, in Wellington against New Zealand in 2015-16).

In addition, Usman Khwaja became the first Australian to score a double century in Asia after Jason Gillespie’s famous 201 unbeaten against Bangladesh in 2006. Other players who scored a double century in Tests Matthew Hayden (unbeaten against India in Chennai), Dean Jones (210 against India in 1986 on par in Madras, 210 against India), Greg Chappell (1980) 235 against Pakistan in Faalbad in Greg Chapel (1980). And Mark Taylor (1998) has (334 not out) against Pakistan in Peshawar.

The first batsman to do so for Australia

Apart from this, Usman Khwaja has also become the first Australian batsman to score a double century in Tests on Sri Lankan earth. No Australian batsman could do this before Usman Khwaja. In Sri Lanka, a record of playing the biggest innings by a foreign batsman is in the name of Chris Gayle, who scored 333 runs in 2010.

Prior to Khwaja’s double century, Justin Langer was the highest Test score by an Australian batsman in Sri Lanka. He scored 166 runs from 295 balls against Sri Lanka in the match in Colombo from 24 to 28 March in 2004.
