The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday said it has detained two ‘mastermind’ accused in a money laundering case related to the alleged leak of question papers in the Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment Examination and other recruitment examinations conducted by the State Public Service Commission in 2023. Have taken. Ravi Attri and Subhash Prakash were detained on the instructions of the Special Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) court of Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh Police had arrested both of them in the question paper ‘leak’ case.
Both the detained accused are the ‘masterminds’ of the Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment Exam Question Paper Leak and Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) RO (Review Officer) and Assistant Review Officer (ARO) Exam Question Paper Leak Case of 2023. According to a statement issued by the Enforcement Directorate, he and his associates ‘leaked’ the question papers of these examinations and made criminal profits by providing these leaked question papers to the candidates before the scheduled date.
ED said that arrangements were made for the candidates to stay in ‘resorts’ in Manesar in Haryana and Rewa in Madhya Pradesh. “Significant fund transfers (deposits) and cash deposits were observed in the bank accounts of the accused immediately after the issue of exam notification and till/after the date of exam,” the ED said.
