Uttar Pradesh will become the economy of ‘One Trillion Dollar’ in the next 4 years: CM Yogi

The grand inauguration of Uttar Pradesh Day dedicated to the glorious journey and achievements of Uttar Pradesh took place in Awadh Shilp village of Lucknow. The three -day ceremony, which runs from 24 to 26 January, was inaugurated by the Vice President of the country Jagdeep Dhankhar. Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath were also present on this historic occasion.

In this program, e-portal of Chief Minister Youth Entrepreneur Development Campaign (CM Youth) was launched and 25,000 young entrepreneurs were distributed loans and acceptance letters for establishment of their enterprises. At the same time, six people were awarded Uttar Pradesh Gaurav Samman. During this, CM Yogi said that Uttar Pradesh Day is a festival of prosperity and pride of the state.

While addressing the program, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed the Vice President and congratulated the people on the Uttar Pradesh Foundation Day. He said that this year is very important for us. Mahakumbh is being organized in UP. In the last 10 days, devotees from all over the country and abroad attained virtue by taking a bath in the Ganges in the Sangam in Triveni Sangam. From Mahakumbh, devotees are taking the message of unity across the country.

CM Yogi said that this year is also especially important because the Constitution formed under the leadership of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar was handed over to the Constituent Assembly on 26 November 1950. 75 years of implementing this constitution are being completed. Also, Uttar Pradesh was established on 24 January 1950. This day is a symbol of a glorious journey for us.

Chief Minister Yogi underlined the historical perspective of Uttar Pradesh and said that from 1775 to 1833 the region was under Fort William (Bengal). In 1834 it was separated from Bengal and made Agra Presidency and in 1836 it was named North Western Provinces. In 1902 it was named ‘North Western Provinance and Awadh’ and ‘United Provinces’ in 1937. It was known as ‘Uttar Pradesh’ on 24 January 1950. Today this state has become a symbol of unlimited potential.

Chief Minister Yogi said that in 2018, the first Uttar Pradesh Day was celebrated under the guidance of the then Governor Ram Naik. Today this event is entering its 7th year. Uttar Pradesh started many schemes during this period. The ‘One District, One Product’ (ODOP) scheme was implemented in the first foundation day. ‘Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana’ was started in the second foundation day. Other schemes were also started in different years.

CM Yogi said that on this occasion, the ‘Chief Minister’s Youth Entrepreneur Development Campaign’ is being launched from the tax lotus of the Vice President. Under this scheme, 1 lakh youth will get an opportunity to become entrepreneurs every year. Interest free loan will be provided to youth between the ages of 21 to 40 years. In the first phase, a loan of up to Rs 5 lakh will be given and in the second phase a loan of up to Rs 10 lakh will be given. So far 27,500 applications have been received under this scheme and a loan of Rs 254 crore has been sanctioned.

CM Yogi said that in 2016-17, the economy of Uttar Pradesh was worth Rs 12 lakh crore, which has now exceeded Rs 27 lakh crore. Within the next four years, Uttar Pradesh will establish itself as a ‘One Trillion Dollar Economy’ as per the vision of Prime Minister Modi. The work is going on to deliver the plan of governance without discrimination in every sphere of life. Villages, poor, farmers, youth and women are running schemes in Uttar Pradesh for the development of each. All tribal brothers have achieved success in achieving the goal of Hundred Percent Sachuration. Uttar Pradesh is emerging as the development engine of the country today by improving law and order, investment, tourism and infrastructure.

CM Yogi said that a survey is going on in the state to achieve Prime Minister Modi’s ‘Zero Poverty’ target. It is our endeavor that when we celebrate Uttar Pradesh Day next year, then every poor should have a roof to hide their heads, a land lease, Ayushman card and all facilities like pension are available. We are committed to bringing their rights to every poor and deprived by rising above the discrimination of caste, language or region.

He said that Uttar Pradesh has emerged as the best tourism destination in the country, saving its spiritual heritage. By improving law and order, the state has been made the best destination of investment. It has become the country’s food basket. It is included in the leading states of the country in terms of expressway, airport and metro network.

He said that Uttar Pradesh Day is an important event dedicated to the historical journey, cultural heritage and achievements of the state. The state is growing on the path of rapid progress. Government schemes and efforts are an important step towards making Uttar Pradesh a ‘state of entrepreneurs’ and the major center of development of the country. This three -day ceremony will not only give the people an opportunity to be proud of their glorious past, but will also communicate new dreams and expectations for the future.
