In an interview given to PTI, his father looked very happy. His father Sanjeev lives in his native village Motipur, 15 kilometers away from Samastipur city of Bihar. He is a farmer.

Vaibhav, who is currently part of India’s Under-19 team, had even undergone a BCCI bone test at the age of 8 and a half to confirm his age. Despite some questions surrounding his age, his father expressed confidence in their transparency and reiterated that they are not afraid of any scrutiny.

Bihar Cricket Association (BCA) President, Rakesh Tiwari, also praised Vaibhav’s achievement, highlighting the pride it brings to the state and the potential it demonstrates for the future of cricket in Bihar. He expressed confidence that Vaibhav will continue to inspire young cricketers.

Vaibhav’s success is seen as a beacon of hope for aspiring cricketers, not just in Bihar, but across India, showcasing how hard work and dedication can lead to remarkable opportunities.

Sanjeev told PTI over phone that he is now not just our son but the son of entire Bihar. His son is currently in Dubai for the Under-19 Asia Cup. He said that my son has worked hard. At the age of 8, she performed brilliantly in the Under-16 District Trials. I used to take him to Samastipur for cricket coaching and then bring him back. Recalling his difficult days, his father said that this is not just an investment, it is a big investment. What can I tell you, we even sold our land. The situation has still not completely improved.

Is Vaibhav really only 13 years old?

Many questions have been raised regarding the age of Vaibhav, who is playing for the Indian Under-19 team. After being sold in the IPL auction, many people also accused him of falsifying his age. On this issue, his father said that when he was 8 and a half years old, he had given the BCCI Bone Test for the first time. He has already played Under-19 for India. We are not afraid of anyone. He may undergo the age test again. His father further said in his statement that the blessings of Bihar Cricket Association President Rakesh Tiwari have always helped in Vaibhav’s journey.
