Venkatesh is the third most expensive Indian in IPL, 3 reasons: Century for KKR, scored a century in Ranji; The bat is also speaking in Mushtaq Ali Trophy – Indore News

Indore all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer was in the news for his excellent performance in the 2nd season of IPL i.e. 2023 and 2024, but this time he is in the news for being sold at 11 times more than his base price.

,

Iyer, who had a base price of only Rs 2 crore, was bought by KKR for Rs 23.75 crore in the mega auction held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. With this he has become the third most expensive Indian player of IPL.

According to Indore cricket expert Raju Singh Chauhan, his excellent performance with the bat in recent times is the main reason for his selling at such a high price.

3 big reasons due to which Venkatesh was sold at such a high price…

1. Excellent performance in IPL In total, Iyer has scored 1326 runs in 51 matches in 4 seasons of IPL at a strike rate of 137.13 and taken three wickets. Venkatesh became the second KKR batsman to score a century in the IPL in 2023, 15 years after Brendon McCullum. He was the hero of KKR’s victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final of IPL 2024. While chasing the easy target of 114 runs, he scored unbeaten 52 runs. Iyer was selected for the Indian team after his excellent performance in the IPL. However, Iyer’s 2022 season was not so special.

2. One century-one half-century in Ranji match In this domestic Ranji Trophy season, Iyer has scored one century and one half-century. In the first Ranji match played in October, he scored only 26 runs. After which he was dropped from the MP team for the next match. Was again included in MP team in the third match. In this match, he was out after scoring 4 runs in the first innings and 28 runs in the second innings. After this, he batted brilliantly against Bihar and scored 174 runs in 176 balls. In which he hit 17 fours and 4 sixes. In the next match against Bengal, Iyer once again scored 53 runs on 95 balls in the second innings.

3. Brilliant batting in Mushtaq Ali Trophy Venkatesh Iyer is currently playing for MP in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Iyer, after being sold for Rs 23.75 crore in the IPL, played an unbeaten inning of 37 runs in just 17 balls while playing for MP on Monday. In this match played against Meghalaya, Iyer has hit 4 sixes. At the same time, Iyer had scored 36 runs on 15 balls against Mizoram in the match played before the auction i.e. on 23 November. Which included 5 fours and 2 sixes.

Jhulaghar’s Shashi Chaubey considers Venkatesh Iyer as her third son.

The credit for Iyer’s achievement goes to Chaubey aunty, who kept the swing in the house. Venkatesh’s mother Usha Rajasekaran had said during her son’s selection in Team India that the credit for this achievement goes to Shashi Choubey. She runs the swing house. Since childhood, Venkatesh has grown up in their swing house for 5 years. Venkatesh always listened to Chaubey aunty. Venkatesh is most fond of the swing house aunty.

Venkatesh was very upset with India’s crushing defeat at the hands of Australia a few years ago. Due to this, the parents felt that Venkatesh was inclined towards cricket. He talked about this to the aunty of Jhula Ghar. Told him that we will send Venkatesh to the Cricket Academy. Venkatesh’s cricket journey started from here.

After meeting Inderjit Sir, who gave cricket coaching at Khanuja Club of Indore, he was put in the club. Training was given for several days. From here Venkatesh got admission in MYCC. Here Dinesh Sharma was his coach, who used to make him practice cricket day and night. Jhula Ghar Aunty’s brother was also there in MYCC club. For this reason Venkatesh also got support.

To be useful to the team in all three departments, this is my target: Iyer Iyer on performance not being good after the first season of IPL Dainik Bhaskar Had said in a conversation that the expectations of the fans have no effect on me. Yes, some mistakes were made and I feel like I have to keep learning more. I don’t think about whether my performance has been good or bad. I think about what my process has been like.

I think I processed well. Good performance will happen if not today or tomorrow. My process is the same. While I have been following the routine regarding batting, but regarding fitness, I have improved a lot with nutrition expert Suraj Thakuria. Regarding bowling, I have practiced a lot with my bowling coach Anand Rajan. To be useful to the team in all three departments, this is my target.

Doesn’t play for runs and wickets After being selected in IPL, Dainik Bhaskar talked to Venkatesh Iyer. Iyer further said that I am just trying to make maximum impact on the team. I don’t play for runs and wickets. My focus remains on the performance of the team. Who wouldn’t want to lead an IPL franchise?
