US prosecutors have accused Indian industrialist Gautam Adani and the Adani Group of paying $250 million (about Rs 2,100 crore) bribes to Indian officials to win solar power tenders. Adani has been accused of hiding bribery information from American banks and investors. However, on the other hand, Adani Group has completely rejected all these allegations and termed them baseless. On the other hand, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi held a press conference on this issue on Thursday and even demanded the arrest of Gautam Adani. After this, Bharatiya Janata Party also held a press conference against Rahul Gandhi and made big allegations against Rahul. Now statements are coming out from different political parties on this entire issue. Let us know who has said what.
What did Rahul Gandhi say?
On America’s allegations against Gautam Adani, Rahul Gandhi said on Thursday that it has become very clear that Gautam Adani has broken Indian and American laws. Rahul Gandhi said that Gautam Adani should be arrested immediately. Rahul also demanded investigation into Madhabi Puri massacre. Rahul Gandhi said that in the upcoming winter session of Parliament, as the leader of the opposition, he will raise this issue in the Lok Sabha and demand JPC. Rahul Gandhi said that I can guarantee that Adani will not be arrested or investigated in India because the government is protecting him. Rahul said that investigation should be done in all states, no matter which party is in power there.
BJP targeted Rahul Gandhi
Regarding Rahul Gandhi’s statement, BJP said that Rahul has been trying to tarnish the image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a long time. This is part of that. BJP spokesperson and MP Sambit Patra has said that as far as the allegations against Adani Group are concerned, it is for the company to defend itself by issuing a clarification. The law will take its course. Sambit Patra said that where government officials were allegedly bribed, there was no BJP government at that time. Congress and its allies were in power in Chhattisgarh and Tamil Nadu, while YSR Congress and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) were in power. Ruled Andhra Pradesh and Odisha respectively. Patra said that Rahul Gandhi, his mother Sonia Gandhi and the Congress have been trying to tarnish Modi’s image since 2002, but they did not succeed. Sambit Patra asked the question that if Adani is corrupt, then why are Congress governments allowing his company to invest in the states. Patra also said that Congress cannot tolerate the strengthening of the Indian economy during the tenure of PM Modi.
