More than 40 crore devotees from India and abroad are expected to attend this Mahakumbh, which will run for 55 days from January 13 to February 26. Therefore, along with the state government, the central government is also working day and night to provide better facilities to the devotees.

Roadways, railways and flights will be ready

Along with UP Roadways and Indian Railways, all the airline companies are also fully prepared for this mega event to be held in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. This time, hundreds of flights along with thousands of buses and trains will be on duty to connect Prayagraj with different parts of the country. Here we will know what arrangements have been made from which part of the country to go to the Mahakumbh to be held in Prayagraj.

UP Roadways will play the biggest role

For the convenience of the devotees reaching Prayagraj, the UP government will run 7550 buses from all 75 districts of the state to Prayagraj. Apart from this, 550 new shuttle buses have been arranged near Prayagraj border. Along with this, UP Roadways buses going directly to Prayagraj will be available on the borders of all the 8 states and one union territory associated with UP. These include Delhi, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. It is believed that more than 3 crore devotees will use roadways buses to come to Mahakumbh. UP Roadways is fully prepared to transport about 7-8 lakh devotees daily.

Big responsibility on the shoulders of Railways

Indian Railways, which is called the lifeline of the country, is also fully prepared for Mahakumbh. For Mahakumbh, about 13 thousand trains will be run from across the country via Prayagraj. Actually, Prayagraj is directly connected to almost all the major cities of the country. But, for Mahakumbh, 50 other cities will be connected through special trains. The distance of Sangam from Prayagraj Junction situated on Delhi-Howrah route is 8 km and from here you will easily get all the rickshaws and taxis. Trains coming from Mumbai side will arrive at Naini and Prayagraj Chhivki station, the distance of Sangam from here is about 11 km. Trains coming from Lucknow and Ayodhya will stop at Phaphamau and Prayag stations. The distance of Sangam from here is about 10 km. Trains coming from Varanasi and Gorakhpur will stop at Jhunsi and Rambagh stations, from here Sangam can be reached on foot.

Flights will play a big role in taking devotees to Sangam

There are direct flights to Prayagraj from Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Bilaspur, Hyderabad, Raipur, Lucknow, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Dehradun and Chandigarh. Along with these, airline companies are also preparing to connect Prayagraj to some other cities including Chennai, Jammu, Patna, Nagpur, Ayodhya, Pune, Bhopal during Mahakumbh. The distance of Sangam from Prayagraj Airport is 19 km. There will be electric buses from the airport to Sangam, the fare of which will be only Rs 35. Cabs and taxis will charge Rs 500-1000 for this.
