Apart from this, Rishabh Pant and Virat Kohli are among the possible players of Delhi for the remaining matches of Ranji Trophy.
Now before the Ranji Trophy, a big claim has been made about Virat Kohli. Times of India Report According to, there is suspense regarding Virat Kohli’s participation in Delhi’s upcoming Ranji Trophy match against Saurashtra from January 23. According to the report, the Indian batsman has sprained his neck and he has also taken an injection to avoid it. However, Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) says that they have not received any update yet.
A source related to the matter said, “Virat Kohli has sprained his neck and has also taken an injection for it. There is a possibility that he will miss the first of the remaining two Ranji Trophy matches and if the DDCA selectors If an update is given, the picture may become clear.”
As of now, the possibility of Kohli joining the Delhi team cannot be ruled out and it would not be a surprise if he trains with the team in Rajkot before the start of the match against Saurashtra. The Delhi team will leave on January 20 and there will be two training sessions before the start of the match.
A senior DDCA official said Kohli’s name is likely to be included in the squad, with “subject to availability” written next to it. However, the situation may change if they get a clear picture before the meeting to be held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium this afternoon (January 17). Before the men’s senior selection committee and coach Sarandeep Singh select the team, the potential players of the team get a net session.
Regarding Rishabh Pant, there is a claim that Rishabh Pant has already confirmed his availability for the match against Saurashtra and some DDCA officials are optimistic about his playing in the last match against Railways on home ground.
