Don’t fall in such a place (Kinnar Akhara) that people spit on you.”

Swami Anand Swaroop further said, “People are taking this Akhara as a joke. There is no talk of knowledge and devotion there.”

Saints also stood in support of Mamta Kulkarni

Juna Akhara spokesperson Narayan Giri said, “Becoming a film actress is not a flaw. A prostitute was also made our guru here. Anyone with ability can be made Mahamandaleshwar. In this, any man, woman or eunuch can attain any position.” He said that the country’s scholars give the title of Mahamandaleshwar to those working in the national interest, spiritual or social workers.

He further said, “Kinnar Akhara was registered in 2019. It is a branch of Juna Akhara. Shri Mahant Ji Maharaj had included eunuchs in the Akhara to connect them with the Hindu tradition. When an Akhara is fully formed then it has the right to make someone Mahant, Sadhvi or Mahamandaleshwar. Every Akhara has its own parameters and they are free to take decisions.”

How to become Mahamandaleshwar

The post of Mahamandaleshwar is considered influential in the Akharas. The process of making Mahamandaleshwar is different in every Akhara. Responsibilities of the post of Mahamandaleshwar

Mahamandaleshwar is the second highest position in any Akhara. Therefore their responsibilities are also big. Being the religious and spiritual leader of the Akhara, Mahamandaleshwar inspires the sadhus and followers to follow religion and social welfare. With this Mahamandaleshwar propagates religion and culture in the society. They lead sermons, bhajan-kirtans and religious rituals.

Mahamandaleshwar also looks after the organization of the Akhara, management of properties and administration.
