When will women get 2500 rupees in Delhi? The officer told the whole process

New Delhi:

The Bharatiya Janata Party had promised in the Delhi elections that in the first cabinet meeting as soon as its government was formed, a proposal to give Rs 2500 to women will be passed and on March 8 i.e. Women’s Day and one month of the government, this money will be received in the account of women. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself also made this promise in a meeting in Delhi. But the question is whether within 3 days from today, you will be able to get money in the account of women or it will also remain as an election promise.

After 26 years, BJP has returned to power in Delhi, while for the first time the Aam Aadmi Party is sitting in opposition. From the very first day of the formation of the government, the Aam Aadmi Party is raising the issue of giving 2500 rupees from the House to the road. Discussing the CAG report in the assembly, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said, “We will fulfill all the promises we have made to the people of Delhi.” At the same time, former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Atishi said, BJP does not intend to pay 2500 rupees to women.

What is the process and how many months will it take?
Now the question arises whether women will get 2500 rupees on March 8 or not? The same question is also in the minds of millions of women of Delhi. Therefore, we talked to former Delhi Chief Secretary Omesh Sehgal to take answers to this question. Sehgal says, “First of all, there will be a provision in the budget for this scheme. Then the work of making a list of eligible people will start.

Omesh Sehgal further says that political people keep speaking anything but it takes time to form a policy. While promising in the election, 4 people sit and make a manifesto, but many stakeholders are involved when the policy is made. The process of making the eligibility list is longer. It has verification at many levels.

Regarding not passing the resolution in the first cabinet of the Aam Aadmi Party, he says, “Those who are asking why it did not come in the first meeting .. It is ridiculous to ask this question because it could not come in the first cabinet. Then the party’s manifesto would be repeated and nothing could have happened.”

Where will the fund come from for Mahila Yojana?
Sehgal says, the party living in the opposition does not know how the economic condition of the state is, it is known only after coming to power. This type of scheme is difficult to implement in Delhi with the help of the Center because due to being a union territory, there is no help from the Center. At the same time, the government is not going to get so much funds from other items that the plan to give 2500 rupees can be implemented.

According to the former Chief Secretary, “The central government should not help directly, but if the Delhi government was going to spend on the cleanliness and environment, the central government gives all the money, then the funds of the Delhi government will be saved, which they can use for the women’s scheme.”

DDA has a lot of funds in Delhi. The Aam Aadmi Party government did not form a relationship with the DDA, but now the BJP government can be loans at cheap rates due to the BJP government in both the Center and the state. The President of DDA is the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, in such a situation, if the government wants funds from the DDA, it will be easy to meet. Sehgal says that at the time of Sheila Dixit, development work was done by taking loans for crores of rupees from DDA.

He further says, it is difficult to increase revenue in Delhi. Because it is meaningless to expect more increase in Delhi from GST. Due to such a ruckus on the liquor policy, a government will avoid putting hands in it, the government can increase the transport tax and other taxes, but it will not earn more than that. In such a situation, the Delhi government will have to consider ways to increase revenue.

Election promises remain just promises?
The attitude of political parties regarding election promises in our country has not been very good. Especially if the party comes to power, then it works according to its promises or simply say that when the election is going to come, the government opens its box. The Aam Aadmi Party which is pressurizing the BJP to fulfill the promise on the BJP in Delhi, its own government has not yet given 1 thousand rupees to women in Punjab, while the promise was after the formation of the government.

The matter is not limited to only BJP and Aam Aadmi Party. The promises made by the Congress in many states have not been fulfilled yet. For example, the promise of giving 3000 rupees to the unemployed in Karnataka was not fulfilled. The promise of loan waiver of farmers in Madhya Pradesh was not fulfilled. The central government had promised 2 crore annual jobs.

The Supreme Court raised questions
Recently, the Supreme Court had commented on the announcement of free schemes. The court had said, due to free, people are avoiding working and are not participating in the development of the country. Justice BR Gavai had said, “Unfortunately, due to the things found for free …. people are avoiding working. They are getting ration for free. They are getting money without doing anything without doing anything.”

By the way, political parties make many such promises to win in elections which are difficult for them to fulfill. But promises are made to get the happiness of power. It is also a matter of great debate that rules should be made on election promises or monitoring those promises. Well, it has to be seen how BJP fulfills its promises in Delhi.
