The petitioner told the court that Jains were also included in the definition of Hindu in the Hindu Marriage Law Act 1949. In the Constitution too, Jain religious people have been kept with Hindus. In the year 2014, Jain society was declared a minority. Since then, the Jain couple’s disputes have been resolving under the Hindu Marriage Act. Many cases have also been disposed of.

  • Advocate Pankaj Khandelwal argued in the court while advocating on behalf of the party on Tuesday that Jains were also included in the definition of Hindu in the Constitution.

On the previous hearing, the court had made senior advocate AK Sethi a judiciary in this case and asked him to study the matter and give his opinion. On Tuesday, he had to put it before the Rai Court, but he could not be present.
