‘All close families of Patel are settled abroad’

The leaders of the Patidar community said that all close families of Patel are inhabited abroad. He said that his families sold their ancestral houses in Bhadran after going to Africa. The organization of the community based in Anand holds the lineage of its members. Rajesh Patel, secretary of the organization and president of Anand district unit of BJP, said, “The lineage also has the names of Kash Patel’s father Pramod Patel and his brothers and grandfather.” He said that although Kash Patel’s name is yet to be added to the lineage.

‘The record of 18 generations of the family is in the lineage’

Rajesh Patel said, ‘But the record of 18 generations of his family is in the lineage and has been stored in his office with all the members of his community. According to our records, the family lived in Moti Khadki area of ​​Bhadran village and went to Uganda about 70 to 80 years ago. The family has sold its ancestral house and land and all their relatives have settled abroad, especially in the US. When a member of Kash Patel’s family comes to India, we will ask for permission to enter the name of the next generation along with his name in the lineage.

‘Family returned to India for some time from Uganda’

Rajesh Patel said, ‘We have not met Kash Patel as the family has not visited Anand in recent years. But many people of our community know him. He said that as far as he knows, the family returned to India for some time after expulsion from the African country in 1970. Rajesh Patel said, ‘These Indians, who were expelled from Uganda, had come to India for some time, as they had applied for asylum in Britain, America or Canada. Kash Patel’s family also came here for some time and then after accepting his application, he moved to Canada.

‘Kash Patel was born in 1980 in America’

Rajesh Patel said that he moved to America from Canada, where Kash Patel was born in 1980. Indians migrating to Uganda were expelled from the African country by dictator Idi Amin, who took power in the military coup in 1971. In 1972, Amin ordered the Indian community to leave the country in 90 days. Kash Patel had earlier served as the former Chief of Staff of Acting Defense Minister Christopher Miller. A resident of New York, Kash Patel completed his graduation from Richmond University and then returned to New York and obtained a law degree. (Language)
