Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has accused the central government of stopping the state budget for not implementing this policy. He has written a letter to PM Narendra Modi regarding this. He has demanded the PM to release the pending Rs 2,152 crore for the centrally sponsored scheme to implement the provisions of the Right to Education Act. The DMK running the government in Tamil Nadu has completely rejected the Tribhasha formula. DMK says that it is an attempt to impose Hindi on the state. At the same time, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan says that the government is committed to implementing NEP. This conflict of the central and state government has revived the decades -old language movement in Tamil Nadu.
What to say of Stalin
Stalin shared a video on social media in the past. In this, the head was heard saying that Tamil Nadu would have to accept the terms of the Indian Constitution and three language policy is the rule of law. Till the Tamil Nadu NEP and Tribhasha formula is accepted, the state will not be provided funds under the overall education campaign. In protest, Stalin even said that Hindi is just a mask. He said that the real intention of the central government is to impose Sanskrit. He said that due to Hindi, many dialects like Awadhi, Brij disappeared in North India. Giving the example of Rajasthan, Stalin said that the central government is trying to remove Urdu there and impose Sanskrit. This will happen in other states too, so Tamil Nadu is opposing it.

This recommendation of the Radhakrishnan Commission later became famous as Tribhasha Formula for schooling. It said that every person should be familiar with the federal language besides his regional language and should have the ability to read books in English. This recommendation was accepted by the National Education Commission (Kothari Commission) in 1964-66. It was included in the National Education Policy, 1968 passed by Indira Gandhi’s government.
