World news: Ukraine again got a big shock and there was electricity for 18 hours in Pakistan during Ramadan

Jafar Express Hijack: Pakistan government ‘silence’ on opposition criticism in National Assembly

The incident of Jafar Express kidnapping in Balochistan is being severely criticized by the federal government of Pakistan but has made a strategy to remain silent on the issue. The government kept silence amidst opposition attacks in the National Assembly.

On Wednesday, the coalition government refrained from making any mention of the kidnapping incident. However, opposition leader Omar Ayub Khan criticized the government’s response.

According to local media reports, Defense Minister Khwaja Asif, Minister of State for Home Talal Chaudhary and Law Minister Azam Nazir Tarar were present in the Sadan, including Azam Nazir Tarar, but he refrained from making any policy statements.

The confrontation between the extremists of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and the Pakistani Army of the Pakistani Army finally ended on Wednesday evening after a massive attack on the Jafar Express in Bolan district.

The army claimed that the campaign to neutralize the attackers and save the hostages was successfully ended.

A reliable security source said, “The operation is over, the site has been evacuated. All the hostages have been released. A total of 346 people have been rescued. 50 terrorists were killed.”

Officials also revealed that women and children were using women and children as a human shield during the terror attack.

The train going from Quetta to Peshawar was hosted by BLA militants and held more than 400 passengers hostage.

However, despite the seriousness of the crisis, the federal government did not show any readiness to resolve the matter.

During the National Assembly session, Omar Ayub Khan demanded that regular proceedings be suspended to debate the Jafar Express kidnapping.

However, PPP’s Abdul Qadir Patel, who was presiding over the meeting in the absence of the Chairman and Vice President, ignored the request and extended the Question Hour instead.

According to the report of Pakistan’s leading daily ‘Dawn’, PTI MPs strongly opposed this decision. He walked out of the House after raising slogans in protest.

After the Question Hour was completed, PTI members returned to the House, where Omar Ayub sharply criticized the government’s inaction. He said, “Balochistan is burning and the government is working as usual.”

Pointing to the treasury members engaged in informal talks, he said that his lack of seriousness shows the government’s apathy towards terrorism.

Describing the Jafar Express attack as ‘a big intelligence failure’, Khan questioned how dozens of terrorist intelligence agencies gathered in broad daylight and managed to carry out the operation.

Khan alleged that the primary focus of 13 intelligence agencies in the country was to target opposition leaders instead of finding terrorists.
