Former cricketer Yuvraj Singh with his father Yograj Singh.
Yuvraj’s father Yograj Singh revealed in an interview about his relationship with Kapil Dev that he had once gone to his house with a pistol to shoot him.
Yograj said a big thing about Yuvraj in an interview. He said that even if his son had died during the 2011 World Cup, he would have been proud of him. Yuvraj played an important role in winning the 2011 World Cup. During that time he was battling cancer. Which he came to know after the World Cup.
While disclosing an incident in an interview given to YouTuber Samdish, Yograj Singh said that when Kapil Dev became the captain of North Zone and Haryana, he removed me from the team without informing me. My wife wanted me to ask questions to Kapil about his removal from the team. I was very angry. I took out my pistol and reached Kapil’s house in Sector 9, Chandigarh. He came out of the house with his mother. I abused them. I told him that because of you I have lost a friend and you will have to pay the price for what you did. I want to shoot you in the head, but I’m not doing that because you’ve got a God-believing mother standing here.

Yograj said- Bishan Singh Bedi and Kapil Dev ended my career. Yograj alleged in the interview that he decided to leave cricket because of the politics of Kapil Dev and Bishan Singh Bedi. As part of a conspiracy, both of them expelled me from the North Zone team. I decided at that time that I will not play cricket, Yuvi will play. I have never forgiven Bishan Singh Bedi. When I was dropped from the team, I spoke to Ravindra Chadha, one of the selectors. He told me that Bishan Singh Bedi (chief selector) did not want to pick me because he thought I was Sunil Gavaskar’s man and because I was playing cricket in Mumbai. I was very close to Gavaskar.
Even if Yuvi had died while winning the World Cup, I would have been proud. Yograj gave a statement regarding his father Yuvraj Singh. He said that even if my son had died during the 2011 World Cup, I would have been proud. Yuvraj was battling cancer at that time. He was vomiting blood, yet he came out on the field to bat and field. After the World Cup, it was revealed that Yuvraj had cancer. Yuvraj scored 362 runs in eight innings in the tournament at an average of 90.50 and a strike rate of 86.19, which included four fifties and a century. He also took 15 wickets in 9 innings while bowling at an economy of 5.02. He was player of the match four times in the tournament. He was also declared Player of the Tournament.
