1000 days of the Great War completed; How many lives were lost due to Vladimir Putin’s stubborn stance; How much loss?

Ukraine Russia War: Russia, the country with the largest number of nuclear bombs, never dreamed that it would be able to defeat small Ukraine. The Ukraine-Russia war, which started in February 2022, will complete its 1000th day on 24 November. This great war changed the whole world. With the help of America and Western countries, Ukraine is fighting an equal battle with Russia and Russian President Vladimir Putin is causing the death of millions of Russian soldiers due to his stubborn stance.

If we compare this great war, then the world is facing the biggest crisis after the Second World War. Wealth worth billions has been destroyed and the war is still going on. This great war has changed every aspect of the lives of the affected people. It has turned cities into crematoriums, devastated millions of families and changed the future of countless people.

On the occasion of completion of 1000 days of war between Russia and Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has vowed to never bow before Russia. He said that he still stands by his decision taken two years ago and will never bow down to Russian power. “Ukraine will never bow to the occupiers, and the Russian military will be punished for violating international law,” Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry said Tuesday. Zelensky will also address a special session of the European Parliament to mark the completion of 1000 days of the war.

Russia lost more than it gained

According to the report, so far more than 10 lakh people have been killed or seriously injured in this war. In this great war of the 21st century, which started in the year 2022, many cities, towns and villages of Ukraine have been completely destroyed. About a fifth of Ukraine’s internationally recognized territory is currently under Russian control, the AP reports. Russia has lost more in this war than it has gained. Last month, The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported intelligence that nearly one million Ukrainians and Russians have been killed or wounded since the war began. The majority of the dead were soldiers from both sides, followed by Ukrainian civilians.

More deaths than people born in Ukraine

The WSJ report is more shocking. According to government data, in the first half of 2024 there were three times more deaths in Ukraine than births. Eight people, including a child, were killed in a drone attack last night in Sumy, Ukraine’s northeastern region. At the same time, 89 people were killed in a separate attack on Sunday. Ukraine’s National Police Force said 12 people, including two children, were injured in a drone strike on a residential building in the small town of Hlukhiv. These figures are just examples. Lakhs of lives have been lost in the Great War in the last two years.

Now Ukraine will intensify attacks inside Russia

For the last two months, the Ukrainian Army has started responding to Russia in its own language. Ukrainian forces launched air and ground attacks in Russia’s Kursk region. In the counter attack, the Russian army also clashed with the Ukrainians, but according to sources, Ukraine has captured several kilometers of Russian territory. Now last Monday, US President Joe Biden, before handing over his throne to Donald Trump, gave Ukraine permission to release American missiles inside Russia. This step of America has once again provoked war between Ukraine and Russia. Russian President Putin has changed his nuclear policy and warned that if any nuclear-backed country attacks him, he will not hesitate to launch a nuclear attack on both the countries.
