5 officers responsible for 35-40 deaths in Mahakumbh: One closed the bridge, one allowed the crowd to grow, one said- get up, a stampede is going to happen

There was a stampede in the Sangam Nose area of Prayagraj at around 1.30 pm on 28 January. According to the administration, 30 people have died, while 35-40 people have died according to Bhaskar reporters. By the afternoon of 29 January, there was also a royal bath of Mauni Amavasya. But of these 40 deaths

,

Investigation has revealed that this stampede was not a single mistake. This was the last end of a sequence of mistakes that have been happening for the last two days, where 35-40 people lost their lives. Even after a year -long preparation and 7,535 crore spending, the arrangement of Mahakumbh is under question. This was the result of ignoring or wrong decisions of 5 important officers who are handling the responsibility of the stampede fair. Read the special report of Dainik Bhaskar…

This series of mistakes started from 27 January. On January 29, Mauni was Amavasya and crores of people were coming from all over the country to Prayagraj. 1.6 crore people had reached the fair, there was still crowd on the pantoon bridges. A wireless message came from the fair officer Vijay Kiran Anand and the movement of the crowd was stopped. Pantoon Bridge No-7 was suddenly closed.

After being stuck for 5 hours, the patience of the crowd broke. He saw that the bridge was being opened for SDM Sadar’s car. People were attacked by SDM car, the officers were shocked. Seeing the anger of the crowd growing, Pantoon Bridge No. 13, 14, 15 was opened. However, many such videos came out, in which people were seen complaining about walking several kilometers due to VIP movement.

VIP movement increased crowds On 27-28 January, the VIP movement in Kumbh also became a major reason for the crowd gathering. Most of the Pantoon bridges were closed on 27th. The reason was, VIP movement like Home Minister Amit Shah, Baba Ramdev, Arunachal Pradesh Home Minister Mama Natung, Kiran Rijiju, Milind Soman, Arun Govil, Singer Chris Martin like American Rock Band Coldplay singer Chris Martin.

Home Minister Amit Shah was in Prayagraj on 27 January. Here he worshiped with the family on the Sangam coast.

The roads also remained closed due to VIP movement. The common people were forced to walk several kilometers. The VIP movement is also considered a major reason behind the closure of the Pantoon Bridge. It is alleged that the administration did not want the crowd of common people gather at the confluence during this period, so the bridges were closed.

Where did the mistake happen Fair officer Vijay Kiran Anand had an idea of the growing crowd, but he took a wrong decision. From January 27, Mouni was ordered to close the Pantoon Bridge as a trial of Amavasya.

Bhaskar’s investigation has revealed that there are a total of 30 pantoon bridges, but most of the bridges remained closed on 27-28. On January 27, only bridge number- 13,14, 15 were operational. On January 28, bridge number 3, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 22 i.e. only 7 bridges were operational. On 29th, in view of Mouni Amavasya, Bridge No. 1, 2, 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 22 i.e. a total of 9 bridges were opened.

On 27-28, the crowd gathered more at the same place due to the closure of the bridge. Those who were towards Sangam could not go towards the arena. People had to roam a lot to go towards the arena. Therefore, a large number of people stayed at the confluence nose for the bathing of Mauni Amavasya.

If all the Pantoon Bridges were running, the devotees could easily go from one place to another and the crowd would have gone out of the fair. Those who slept were mostly crushed in the stampede.

SSP Rajesh Dwivedi was the important responsibility of not allowing the crowd to increase in Sangam Noz area. Apart from this, arrangements for bathing the sadhus during the Amrit bath on Mauni Amavasya were also responsible for them. There have been two reasons for the stampede that occurred late on 28 January.

First, the crowd gathered at Sangam Noj. Then a large number of people slept next to barricading. When the crowd was large, the barricading was broken and the sleeping people were crushed. The second reason that has come out is rumored to come to the Naga sadhus for bathing. Rajesh Dwivedi had the responsibility of managing these two.

15 lakhs bathed at Sangam Noj, police force only 1000 Bhaskar received many eyewitnesses during the investigation, who have accused them of not getting the arrangements corrected. According to the evening of Ramabai and Prayagraj, who came from Jhansi, ‘Sangam nose did not have different ways and exit. People were going back from the path they were coming from.

Ramabai further says, ‘No one got a chance to run away when a stampede took place. They fell on each other. The oneway route was not implemented properly. If the ways of coming and going were separated, the crowd would not hit each other. There were no policemen there. Further, only two to three policemen were on duty on the barrier.

Apart from this, only about 1000 personnel were deployed, including UP police and home guards, to handle the Sangam nose. Despite the growing of the crowd, why Rajesh Dwivedi Sangam was not on the nose, this question is also arising.

Where did the mistake happen Despite seeing the increasing crowd since January 27, Rajesh Dwivedi did not manage the crowd on Sangam Noj for 29 January. On 27th and 28th January, whoever came to the confluence, went straight to the nose. When the pantoon bridge was closed, people stayed there. Why the police allowed this crowd to stay there, this question is also arising. If people had been removed from there in time, the possibility of stampede would have reduced.

The force was not increased despite the rush growing. The force that was also present did not follow the movement of the movement. By the night of 28 January, more than 10 lakh people had gathered at Sangam Noj.

The question is that the crowd gathered, people slept at the confluence and millions of people were also moving towards Sangam Noj for Amrit bathing. What was Rajesh Dwivedi doing during this time? Let us tell you that despite the stampede, more than 1 crore people took a bath at the confluence on January 29.

The total number of people bathing in Mahakumbh has also been more than 7 crores. About 28 crore people have taken bath in Mahakumbh till 29 January.

Is there a stampede after the commissioner’s warning About 1 million people gathered at Sangam Noj late on the night of 28 January. The force was low and the nectar bath of the sadhus was to be held in a few hours. A video has surfaced after the stampede, in which Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant is seen warning those who were sleeping at the Sangam nose.

Vijay Vishwas Pant says, ‘Listen to all the devotees, there is no benefit from lying here. He who sleeps will lose. Wake up and take a bath. This is to stay safe for you. Many people will come and there is a possibility of stampede. You are requested to get up, get up, wake up, don’t sleep. ‘

Where did the mistake happen The biggest question is why Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant said on Mike that there is a possibility of stampede due to the arrival of people. If the administration had an idea of increasing the crowd, then why was this announcement being made on the mike instead of correcting the arrangements, controlling the forces and controlling the movements of commuting.

The question is that when the crowd grew on Sangam nose, people fell asleep, where was the Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant. Why did he not talk to SSP Rajesh Dwivedi to control the increasing crowd.

The crowd continued to grow and the sector magistrate did not know The area of Sangam Nose falls in Sector-3 of Mahakumbh. It is not that no arrangement was made to monitor the crowd. It was the responsibility of Sector-3 magistrate Vinay Kumar Mishra to keep an eye on the growing of crowds in this area, assess it and inform the authorities as soon as possible.

Where did the mistake happen The investigation of Dainik Bhaskar has revealed that Vinay Kumar Mishra did not share the information with the officials about the crowd that was increasing at the confluence due to the closure of the Pantoon Bridge. If they had informed the administration in time, then perhaps arrangements could be made on Sangam nose. The question is where they were when the crowd increased.

DIG, who is handling the control room, why did the video appeal to the appeal DIG Vaibhav Krishna of Mahakumbh has the responsibility of all arrangements for the fair. He released a video on January 28 and appealed to the devotees to escape the crowds on the Ganges Ghats and bathe on time.

In this appeal, he also urged not to stay at the ghats overnight and not to leave the goods there. The SOP was released in view of the bathing of Mauni Amavasya, according to which the devotees were set lanes to reach Sangam Ghat, there was a separate lane for return.

Where did the mistake happen On 27 January, CM Yogi Adityanath held a meeting with the preparations for Mauni Amavasya. He was in Prayagraj. Most of the discussion was held on managing the crowd in this meeting. Vaibhav Krishna was also in this meeting. On January 28, there was a meeting for the preparations for Mauni Amavasya, an appeal was also made from the video, but there were no arrangements.

It has been revealed in the investigation that neither the lanes of commuting were running properly, nor the crowd was prevented from gathering and sleeping at the confluence. On the occasion like Mauni Amavasya, the control room should have been alert.

DIG Vaibhav Krishna himself is responsible for the control room. In such a situation, the question is arising as to how the growing crowd and sleeping people left from his eyes on the Sangam nose. After a stampede, the control room played a very good role and the ambulance reached the spot in 5 minutes. The question is where all were before the accident.

Dainik Bhaskar called him several times to know the side of Vijay Kiran Anand, Rajesh Dwivedi, Vaibhav Krishna, Vinay Kumar Mishra and Vijay Vishwas Pant. A message has also been sent to them if they do not get the answer on the phone call. We will update this news as soon as their side arrives.
